September 30th - October 4th

 

This past week we talked about why PETS ARE SPECIAL!  What a great way to end the week by earning the reward of bringing a stuffed animal to have with them in class.  We love to read in 1st grade and we love it even better when we can read to a pet!! (A fun thing to do at home as well!!)

(Do these HOME ACTIVITIES to help reinforce what we are learning in class!!  Right now we are learning different strategies for addition and subtraction.  Like so many things we learn in 1st grade we want to build a solid foundation!!)

Our Field Trip is this Friday!!  Make sure your children are to school on time so that we can get organized before we need to get on the bus.  I have a few parents who will ride the bus with us and be assigned a group of kids to keep track of.  If you are planning on meeting us at the Happy Pumpkin at 9:00 please be considerate of the parent who has been assigned your child and keep your child with their group the very best you can!!  The kids will need wear uniform or a "spirit shirt" (It is NOT a DRESS DOWN day).  

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES WILL BE OCTOBER 14TH AND 15TH
